Puget Sound Academic Center
Is a Non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation
We are doing our part to make sure that High School students graduate and succeed in life. But we can't do it alone. We need your help!
Being a nonprofit, you can donate today to help with the appropriate fees to give a student that quality education without the time constraints of a brick-and-mortar school.
What makes us different......
We are a homeschool family with 33 years' experience. We fell into homeschooling because our children were not getting the individual attention they needed in their early years. We were also scrutinized by the system being a "step" family with my husband having custody in a time that was unheard of. For our kids collectively to succeed in school, we set out to homeschool. Before there was the internet, before there was an overabundance of resources available to teach.
Well, 33 years later, graduating 3 from high school 1-2 years early with more credits than needed; one daughter went into the U.S. Marines; another daughter went into the U.S.Airforce; our son went into Professional Sports Massage Therapy; another became a published author and a registered CNA before she graduated from high school and I have one more at home in the 12th grade and she is a budding artist with serious attention by those in the field.
So, we thoughtfully prayed for God's guidance as to what we can do to help, and after many months are now known as Puget Sound Academic Center. PSAC is an affiliate of Family Academy/Academy Northwest, the only Accredited Christian Home school high school in the nation!
So, what can we do for you?
- Homeschooling Resources
- Is your student struggling in public school?
- New to homeschooling? We can help guide you through the requirements.
- High School credit retrieval
- High School education through our center
- 4-year plan reviews for both college and non-college bound students
- K-12 experiences
- Know your options as a parent and a student before entering high school!
- Consultations available
- CAT Testing and individual non test assessments for home school families
- Graduation from an accredited program for adults too!
What do we need help with?
The average cost for a student is $4000 a year. Well below comparable private schools at $9-10,000 a year if you qualify. Public School is free, however for the students in our center, they did not receive the assistance they needed. The bullying, the lack of friends, no stable environment is hard on kids.
We help with giving a stable environment, a sense of community, patience, love and respect, assist with job assistance training and help the students with short and long-time goals.
